At a time like this, words fail me.
Anyone who knows me, knows that doesn't happen very often. But there are some people who have so impacted my life that their death leaves me struggling to find words to express the loss.
So, I didn't. You did. What better way to honor the life and memory of Jackie Smith than to use the words that his friends and fellow divers wrote in his book of condolences. Join me as we remember his life - and legacy - together. Dave and I offer these photographs in hopes that the "large hole in our hearts that will never heal" will be filled with loving memories of this wonderful man.
Grab a handkerchief, and let's remember Jackie together.
